The Rev. Marion Sprott-Goldson is a native of South Carolina, but really claims both the Carolinas as home. She earned Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of South Carolina and worked as a collaborative pianist with regional opera and theater companies prior to ordination.
Marion discerned a call to ordained ministry through the Diocese of North Carolina and is a graduate of The School of Theology at the University of the South – Sewanee. While in seminary, she served as the head sacristan for the Chapel of the Apostles. She also enjoyed discovering a great love of liturgy, preaching, and pastoral care.
She comes to The Advocate from St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Charlotte, N.C. where she was the Associate Rector. Her primary roles included work in pastoral care, liturgy, membership, and digital ministry.
Marion is passionate about people, their lives and where they are noticing God, and how that noticing changes them and transforms communities.
