to view and discuss Unitive Consciousness: An Eastern Perspective ~ A video webcast with Richard Rohr and Mirabai Starr

Tuesday, September 22 (rescheduled from an earlier attempt!)
7-9 PM

Richard Rohr and Mirabai Starr—two lovers of truth wherever they find it—introduce us to Hindu, Buddhist, Tao, Sufi, and early Christian teachings. The “Eastern Mind” seems to have easier access to what we call mystical or non-dual thinking. Western thought, even in the Christian church, has preferred dualistic and rational approaches to reality. We have lost touch with practices that nurture an awareness of oneness with God, self, and other. Reclaiming many Eastern sacred traditions can literally change your mind, rewiring your brain to experience unitive consciousness. Rohr and Starr invite us to rediscover the union in which we already all exist.

We will watch the 90 minute webcast, then share some conversation for another 30 minutes.
