Wednesday, February 8

Holy Eucharist at noon. At the Unity Center of Peace, 8800 Seawell School Road, across from the entrance to Chapel Hill High School.

Contemplative Prayer at 6 PM. At the Unity Center of Peace, 8800 Seawell School Road, across from the entrance to Chapel Hill High School.

 

Thursday, February 9     Theology on Tap returns to the Carolina Brewery (upstairs)  7-8:30 PM  Topic: Baptism and the Church. All are welcome!

 

Saturday, February 11     Second Saturday all Advocate Crafters who wish to craft meet at the Homestead house. 10 AM – noon.

 

Sunday, February 12    The Sixth Sunday after the Epiphany 

Note: For the Season of Epiphany, we will be using the Eucharistic liturgy of the Scottish Episcopal Church. Come and discover the difference and commonalities of prayer and worship. 
8:45 AM     Holy Eucharist followed by tailgate coffee hour in the Unity parking lot.
5 PM           Holy Eucharist followed by dinner (provided)

The Vicar will celebrate and the 2011 Haiti Mission Team will report on the Advocate’s relationship with St. Innocents Church and School on La Gonave Island in Haiti, and will share thoughts on plans to return and build a cistern to provide water for the people there. 8:45 AM and 5 PM..

Child care for 1-6 year-olds during the Liturgy of the Word, though children are always welcome to join in the liturgy. At the Unity Center of Peace, 8800 Seawell School Road, across from the entrance to Chapel Hill High School.


Wednesday, February 15

Wednesday, February 22     Ash Wednesday

Holy Eucharist the Imposition of Ashes

     12 noon. At the Unity Center of Peace, 8800 Seawell School Road, across from the entrance to Chapel Hill High School.

     6 PM. At the Unity Center of Peace, 8800 Seawell School Road, across from the entrance to Chapel Hill High School. (note: there will not be Contemplative Prayer this day).

Thursday, February 23   Taizé style prayer service moves to first and third Thursdays. 7 PM at the Homestead House.
