Elijah in August!

BCP
Advocates stand in the prophetic tradition.  What better time than the “lazy, hazy” days of summer to revisit its biblical roots.  The bible stars Elijah as the first of the great prophets.  So let’s have a look, on the first four Wednesdays in August from 7-8 pm at Homestead house.  (It wouldn’t hurt, but it isn’t required to have a look at the passage beforehand, to get a feel for the context and to get in touch with your questions and objections!).
See you there!  Marilyn McCord Adams
August 1:  Naboth’s Vineyard I Kings 21
August 8:  Contest with the Prophets of Baal I Kings 17-18
August 15: The “Still Small Voice” I Kings 19:1-18
August 22:  The Call of Elisha; Chariots of Fire I Kings 19:19-21; II Kings 2:1-18
