Every Sunday, we join with Christians throughout the centuries and throughout the world and recite the Nicene Creed. For some, the Creed is a grounding; for others, the Creed is a challenge, even a stumbling block to their life in the church.
On Wednesday evenings in October and November, The Rev. Dr. Marilyn McCord Adams — Priest Associate at the Advocate, and renowned philosopher and theologian — will lead us in a four-part conversation about the Creed. There will be lots of room for questions and concerns.
All are welcome and invited to participate.
Wednesdays: October 19, November 2, November 16, and November 30
8410 Merin Road in Chapel Hill
To help Marilyn prepare, participants are encouraged to send in their questions, concerns, irritations and frustrations with the Creed. Jesus the only Son of the Father? …. became incarnate from the Virgin Mary? …..the resurrection of the dead?
As you are led, please send them to: Marilyn McCord Adams <email@example.com>
