Advocate News!

The Advocate takes big steps towards the Homestead site!

At their June 21 meeting, the Chapel Hill Town Council approved the Church of the Advocate’s Special Use Permit for the Advocate Campus at Homestead Road. The Council also approved an easement for us to be able to bring OWASA lines across town land to the site. These are big milestones on our journey to worship and provide hospitality for collaborative ministry on the Homestead site. Now we need only to receive a license from the railroad to allow us to bring OWASA lines under the railroad tracks, received all Strength to Strength Campaign pledges made for 2010, and raise an additional $71,600 in new gifts, and we will be able to close on the land. Please continue to help us on our way with your prayers and support. (checks written to the Church of the Advocate Land Fund can be sent to P.O. Box 9, Carrboro, NC. 27510).
