The Contemplative Prayer Groups of Church of the Holy Family and Church of the Advocate will hold their Silent Retreat at Avila Retreat Center (in North Durham) on August 20 to 22. The retreat begins Friday evening and will end at noon on Sunday. This is an opportunity for silence and also for those who wish to do so to read and talk about Thomas Kelly’s A Testament of Devotion. The Reverend Lisa Fischbeck will celebrate Eucharist in Avila’s chapel on Saturday morning at 10:00.
The cost for two nights and all meals is $140.
