The 2010 Chapel Hill/Carrboro CROP Hunger Walk is Sunday, March 21 at 1:30 pm, starting at the Carrboro Town Commons. All are invited to walk with the Advocate or sponsor a walker from the Advocate. There will be somebody at most upcoming services to see for more information or to become a walker or sposnor.
The CROP Hunger Walk (CROP=Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) is a four-mile* walk through the diverse streets of Carrboro, Chapel Hill and the UNC Campus with rest stops along the way and refreshments at the end. The CROP Walk links families and communities together to raise money in order to provide food and other resources for people locally (through the Inter-Faith Council’s food programs) and around the world.
The challenge is to have at least 15 walkers from the Advocate this year.
*There is also a shorter route option available
