Advocate Hosts Coalition for Peace with Justice — Thursday, March 4

On Thursday, March 4, the Church of the Advocate will host the monthly gathering for prayer and learning of the Coalition for Peace with Justice in Israel and Palestine.

From the Coalition’s website:

The Coalition for Peace with Justice welcomes all individuals and groups working for a just and sustainable peace in Israel and Palestine.

It is an ecumenical and interfaith network based in the Raleigh-Durham area of North Carolina, with participants across the United States.

Dedicated to human rights, non-violence, education, and advocacy, the Coalition For Peace With Justice offers a variety of activities, which include:

Contact with government officials

Cultural programs (art, music, literature)

Dialogue groups

Educational programs

Hosting Israeli or Palestinian just-peace-activists

Media influence (radio, TV, newspapers, magazines)

Networking

Peace vigils and/or demonstrations

Solidarity visits to Israel-Palestine
